5 Ways to Incorporate our Infused EVOO into your Thanksgiving Dinner

Hey Foodie Friends-

We are quickly approaching the end of 2019 and entering into the holiday season. This is the time of year in which families come together and bond over great food, love and laughter. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because of all the bomb food we get to consume and the time spent with family preparing the dinner. This will be my first year using my olive oil while preparing Thanksgiving dinner, so I am geeked! In any savory recipe, use our EVOO as a substitute for butter. It is a flavorful and healthy way to cut back on fats. Here are a few additional ways to use our infused olive oils in your Thanksgiving dinner:


Appetizers

For a pre-dinner snack, fill a dipping bowl with olive oil, fresh herbs and balsamic vinegar, and accompany it with a baguette. Alongside this, serve with your favorite cheese and dips. Drizzle EVOO over both, if you’re fancy.

Another tasty starter is stuffed mushrooms. Whip these up the day before as a part of your meal prep and pop them in the oven shortly before guests arrive. Definitely a great way to get dinner started and keep guests happy until dinner is served.

Turkey

During your turkey prep, baste with olive oil and fresh herbs, both inside and out. For even more flavor, inject our EVOO into the breast, thigh and leg of the bird with as little or as much as you’d like.

Quick Cajun Injection recipe: In a bowl, mix together EVOO, salt, pepper, paprika, cajun seasoning and cayenne. Inject mixture directly into the breast, thigh and leg of the bird. Distribute contents evenly to prevent bubble sockets; Bake/Fry turkey as instructed.

Lobster Mac & Cheese

Whip up our lobster mac & cheese and be the talk of the dinner and you are sure to be the talk of the dinner! Add additional flavor by adding a few tablespoons of our EVOO to pasta water and into the pan with the noodles after draining. Cop our Lobster Mac & cheese recipe here.

Roasted Veggies

The only veggie I acknowledge during the holidays is collard greens. Collards are my favorite dark leafy green; I could eat them every day! However, some don't share the same sentiments as me, so roasted veggies are a great alternative for those unfortunate souls. Simply toss raw vegetables with EVOO, salt, pepper and your favorite herbs. Bake the veggies in the oven on 425 until golden brown.


Cornbread for Dressing/Stuffing

Prepare the cornbread for your dressing with our EVOO by adding about a tablespoon directly into your batter. Once cornbread is cooked, brush EVOO over the top for extra flavor. Crumble cornbread and prepare dressing/stuffing as desired.
